24 Hour On Call

24 hour on call

The service wrapped around the other four divisions. Roster fulfilment, contingency planning, emergency shift cover and crisis support for our own workers, 24 hours a day.

The 3am call is where we prove our worth

What we supply

Anyone can fill a roster with four weeks of notice. The reason a community service organisation changes labour hire provider is almost always a shift that fell over at short notice and a supplier who could not be reached.

So this is the division everything else hangs off. One number, staffed by the allocations team, answered by a person. Not a voicemail box and not an answering service that takes a message for the morning.

The workers we send at 3am are drawn from the same screened division pools as a planned placement. Urgency does not lower the screening floor.

Roles we fill

  • Roster fulfilment, short and long term
  • Emergency and last-minute shift cover
  • Contingency planning
  • Sleepovers and overnight cover
  • Staff crisis support
  • Escalation to a named contact

What the on-call service covers

The service

Roster fulfilment

Roster fulfilment Allocations works with you to pre-fill your resource rostering needs, short term or long term, before the gaps become urgent.

Emergency shift cover

Emergency shift cover The unforeseen and last-minute shifts you cannot cover. Called in, filled from the right division, confirmed back to you.

Contingency planning

Contingency planning A pre-vetted supply of experienced, trained and qualified workers held ready, so a staff shortage is a phone call, not a crisis.

Staff crisis support

Staff crisis support Our own workers can reach us 24/7. A carer who has had a bad shift and cannot reach anyone is a carer who leaves the sector.

The same screening standard at every hour

Our workforce

An emergency placement uses the same worker pool as a planned one. There is no separate after-hours list with looser checks on it.

  • Every on-call worker sits inside one of the four service divisions
  • Screening and qualifications current on the day of the shift, not on the day they joined
  • No worker placed outside their own division to fill a gap
  • Allocations team member named on every escalation
  • Incident reported to you the same shift, not the next business day
  • Debrief offered to the worker after a difficult shift

Why clients choose us

What happens when you ring at 3am

  • The phone is answered by a person from the allocations team
  • They can see the roster, the site notes and the available workers
  • You get a name and a time, or a straight answer that we cannot cover it
  • The worker sent is from the correct division, fully screened
  • The placement is confirmed back to you in writing before the shift starts
  • The same person owns it until the shift is covered
